Areas of expertise: hyperstructures and superhyperstructures; belief functions and Dempster–Shafer theory; neutrosophic and paraconsistent mathematical structures.

Submissions authored by the Editor-in-Chief or by board members are handled by an independent editor, as set out in the publication ethics statement.

Editorial organisation

The eight journal sections are connected through four editorial areas. These areas guide assignment by subject expertise and the assessment of contributions:

  • Logic and foundations: formal semantics, typed indeterminacy, belief revision, representation results and complete proofs.
  • Measurement and statistics: operational definitions, validity, experimental design, uncertainty, sensitivity and fair comparisons.
  • AI evaluation and selective prediction: language-model evaluation, evidence conflicts, abstention, risk–coverage and decision utility.
  • Education and social measurement: human evidence, assessor disagreement, instrument validation and institutional decisions.

Reproducibility assessment: supporting data, code, proofs and computational artefacts are assessed as appropriate, and the review records what was independently verified.

Section responsibilities are assigned according to confirmed expertise and availability. Named section-editor appointments and research specialities are published after confirmation.

Independent handling

For manuscripts authored by the Editor-in-Chief, the board designates an editor with no relevant conflict; the Editor-in-Chief takes no part in choosing referees, assessing reports or deciding the submission. Appeals are handled by an independent editor who was not involved in the original decision. The designation and decision responsibility are recorded under the publication ethics policy.

JEPR welcomes external authors and critical evaluations of methods associated with its editorial team or publishing association. Positive, negative and limited findings receive the same assessment standards.
